Volunteering
PTV has several volunteer opportunities, from one-time projects to long term commitments, open to the Los Angeles community.
Volunteers may work directly with our clients to fulfill unmet needs. Positions include, but are not limited to: Interpreters, English Tutors, and Career Advisors. PTV also relies on help from volunteers with our public events.
For more detailed information on volunteer opportunities, please contact Maureen Farrell, our Volunteer Coordinator, at volunteer@ptvla.org. All potential volunteers must complete an application form and submit it to PTV via: PTV’s address, fax or email – volunteer@ptvla.org. We will conduct application reviews, and schedule interviews to best accommodate the applicants' interests and the available volunteer positions.
PTV is able to provide extensive medical and clinical services thanks to our professional volunteers. Specifically, we look for General Surgeons, Orthopedists, Neurologists, Pain Specialists, Dentists, Chiropractors, and Podiatrists. If you are a medical professional, and would like to volunteer with PTV providing services to our clients, please contact our Medical Director, Dr. Jose Quiroga at jquirogamd@aol.com.
PTV is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The board sets policy, reviews organizational continuity, fundraises and does strategic planning. In return, PTV provides training and leadership opportunities. If you are interested in Board service, please email Board President, Neils Frenzen at nfrenzen@law.usc.edu.
