Many of our clients have applied for political asylum in the United States, but until asylum is granted – a process that can take years – these survivors cannot work or obtain assistance. PTV literally becomes their lifeline.
In the past years, we have seen an increasing amount of families depending on us for food and other basic necessities. Though PTV receives some grant funding for our direct services, we rely on individual donations to help provide emergency aid to clients in need.
